Who We Are

Local 1895 is one of five locals in Oklahoma that belong to International Union United Automobile, Aerospace, Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW).

UAW Local 1895 is located between Tulsa and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Started in 1974 when the Tulsa Glass Plant opened, we will be celebrating our 33 year anniversary this year!

Nearly 482 members work producing the finest glass in the world for industrial and commercial and automotive purposes.

Our Mission

To negotiate the very best contracts for the betterment of our members, and to enforce those contracts through our grievance procedures. To organize other workers in their work environments to raise their wages and benefits and working conditions giving them a greater say in their jobs.

To encourage participation in union activities and the political action that impacts our lives and families and living conditions. To fight and vote against legislation against unions and the common worker. To participate in community actions that will represent us as the good citizens that we are, and use our resources to better the life for all in our community.

To represent our members in a professional matter that benefits all members and our diversity. To communicate to all members keeping them informed and pursuing involvement in our union activities. To be impartial in the procedure of pursuing justice through arbitration of the grievance procedure.
